Name
[edit]I think the correct name should be the correct translation from spanish, which is Colombian National Army, and then leave Colombian army with a redirect link.--F3rn4nd0 05:25, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
POV
[edit]'founded in 1955, derives from the Ranger program of the US Army. Severe brutalizing techniques and live ammunition are used, and some trainees have not survived. Because of its exceptional nature, the course has gained international prestige.'
That's three POV comments that should be either referenced or clarified. 217.7.209.108 14:52, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

Number UH-60 Blackhawks
[edit]How many UH-60 the ARMY has? I have researched in the web and there are 25+10(ordered)+15(Plan Colombia).
You cannot take into account the helicopters de FAC and the Police has. The Colombian Army only has 50 UH-60 Blackhawks
[1]
In Conpes 3353
In the same document it is stated that 2 helicopters are in recuperation so the army had 12 UH-60, the same document is acquiring 8 more choppers. In 2007, another batch of 15 choppers are ordered to complete the mentioned plan in Conpes 3353 of 35 Blackwks. During Plan Colombia the US has given the army 16 blackhawks of which one was lost in combat. So: 25+10(ordered)+15(Plan Colombia)

Image copyright problem with File:Escudoafeur.jpg
[edit]The image File:Escudoafeur.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.

New images
[edit]I have removed the raster images of the rank insignias and I have added vector versions which are more clear. Please note that this is the English wikipedia and not the Spanish one, although the Colombian Army is a Spanish speaking force there are many English equivalents, I say this because I found a lot of Spanish in this article. Also, it would be nice if we keep additional images to a rational size so there is plenty of space for the text with no clutter. I have changed the size of the pictures of the arms of the army. Those are nice pictures but unfortunately they are also in Spanish, one of this days when i have more time I might vectorize them. Thanks.--Camilo Sanchez (talk) 10:14, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned references in National Army of Colombia
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of National Army of Colombia's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
